Phonics
In reception we learn a new sound everyday, starting with set 1 sounds. Each week we will post the sounds we have been learning. We use the Read write Inc phonics programme to teach phonics.
Please watch the video of how we pronounce the sounds so that you can help your child at home to secure learning.

Maths
Maths is really fun in reception. We use the White Rose Maths scheme to help deliver an exciting and stimulating maths sessions. We then set up activities and resources to challenge children to embed and extend theit learning.
